Incredible as it seems, the anticoagulants are all under threat
.AGAIN. Theres a public consultation currently underway. It finishes on 15 February so get your skates on and let the European Chemicals Agency know what you think.
As a part of the ongoing renewal assessment by the European Commission, required for these products just five years after they were first authorised under the Biocidal Products Directive, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is holding a public consultation. This will determine the future availability of all eight anticoagulant rodenticides. They are now under threat because they are listed as ‘candidates for substitution‘.
So if these materials are important for your business you may feel like going online to tell ECHA what you think. A document has been prepared by the Rodenticides Working Group of the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic) to support the continued availability of these essential materials. Download it here and feel free to use all or part of this document in your submission to ECHA.
To add your comments go to the ECHA web-page for the consultation.
You can download the instructions for the consultation here. The consultation is conducted separately for each anticoagulant, so you need to submit a separate consultation response for each substance you wish to comment upon.
The end of the consultation period is 15th February 2016. So there is not much time left.
