In what must be one of the worst nightmares for a food factory, a whole rat was found in a catering-sized tin of baked beans by the cook about to serve them.
The rodent is believed to have climbed into, or fell into, the can prior to tinning.
The brand of beans involved and the location of this discovery seem to be being kept very quiet. The major manufacturers of baked beans have been quick to disassociate themselves from this incident.
