For a tenth successive year, membership fees for the BASIS PROMPT professional register will be frozen. At the same time BASIS has announced an added bonus for members with certificates available in digital format from 1 January 2017.
Every pest technician renewing their affiliation to BASIS PROMPT after 1 January will be able to download their certificate. The switch from traditional paper versions of the document will deliver significant benefits – not least that membership fees will remain frozen for a tenth successive year.
Stephen Jacob, chief executive of BASIS PROMPT, said: “Digitalising our membership certificate will have positive implications for members.
“In the past, they’ve each received a paper document which is obviously difficult to share with clients. They would have had to scan it into computers themselves or make photocopies. “Now their proof of membership will be in the form of a digital certificate which will be refreshed every year and can be shared very easily as many times as necessary. “The switch will also reduce our administration costs which means we can keep our annual fee the same for the 10th year in a row.” Fees will remain at £25 + VAT for members of the British Pest Control Association (BPCA), National Pest technicians Association (NPTA) or local authority pest control units and £30 + VAT for non-affiliated technicians. |

Stephen added: “We exist for the benefit of our members and everything we do, including this move to digital certificates and freezing the fee once more, is with them in mind.” Members will automatically be able to download the PDF certificate, free to those holding the Level Two in Pest Management award, after logging into a secure area of the BASIS PROMPT website from 1 January. |
