Staff changes within the supply industry

There have been two recent changes of staff within the pest control manufacturing and supply industry. Trevor Green moves to a new role at Russell IPM and SX adds to their training team.

New appointment at Russell IPM
Deeside-based Russell IPM has announced that Trevor Green will be joining their team from 2 April 2012, in the new position of UK National Accounts manager.

Trevor has a long history of working in the pest control industry, most recently for the last six and a half years he was the National Technical and Sales manager at SX Environmental.

Commenting on his new appointment, Trevor said: “I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead with this family run business which is very well-known for its manufacturing of pheromone insect monitoring and control systems across Europe.”

Further training and development resource for the SX team
In a not totally unrelated move, SX Environmental has announced the appointment of Phil Fountain, who has joined the company as Regional Sales and Technical manager. Phil’s role will be to support professional pest control customers as well as the wider responsibility of developing the company’s training and auditing programme.

Phil has a long career in the industry – having worked for a number of pest control companies, the London Underground and Three Rivers District Council as Technical Officer before moving to Hunt, the Belgium-based pest control company, where he worked all over Europe. Phil originally joined the SX team in the autumn of 2010 as their sales manager covering London and the East of England, before his departure to Derby-based BHB Pest Control.

Phil’s return to SX forms part of a wider sales and technical support team for SX, with Richard Lamb in the North and Dean Levy based in the South of England, alongside the technical support of Knaresborough based P+L Systems’ wider technical support team. This follows the acquisition of SX announced on 13 February 2012 – see Pest report.

Other recent staff changes include the move earlier this year of Nigel Batten to Killgerm.
