The National Pest Technicians Association has appointed two technical support officers, Grahame Turner and Georgina Bail.
Steve Hallam, NPTA’s chief operating officer, said he looks forward to enhancing the support offered for the benefit of all members.
Mr Turner, who is also on Pest magazine’s Technical Advisory Board, said he was excited to be working with the NPTA, doing what he loves best, technical support and technical training.
“I shall be putting to good use my diverse experience of working in all aspects of pest control,” Mr Turner said, “and if I don’t already know the answer, then I’ll find out as promptly as I can.”
Ms Bail, a certified field biologist, joins the NPTA from Rentokil, where she worked for eight years. At Rentokil, she was also a team leader and falconer.
“It’s absolutely fantastic to join the NPTA,” she said.
“It’s different to what I’m used to, but I’ll be able to take my time and work through things with members, offering help and advice.”
Ms Bail and Mr Turner will be at all the NPTA On the Road days this year and will also be at PPC Live, which takes place at the Yorkshire Centre in Harrogate on Wednesday, March 22.
