BASF has launched new Neosorexa Plus Blocks to the market for this autumn.
Delivering a lethal dose in a single feed, the rodenticide, containing the active flocoumafen to provide pest technicians with fast, effective control against house mice (Mus musculus), black rats (Rattus rattus), and brown rats (Rattus norvegicus).
Flocoumafen is a much more potent anticoagulant compared to the former difenacoum version of Neosorexa Blocks, which was withdrawn in 2023 – due to BASF’s decision to remove its full difenacoum range due to market changes and increase to resistance to the active.
Laurence Barnard, country business manager for BASF’s Professional & Specialty Solutions, said by combining the palatability of a soft block, with the durability of a hard block, the new formulation can withstand extreme temperatures and features an innovative binder that allows for a higher proportion of palatable ingredients.
“Available in 5kg tubs, Neosorexa Plus Blocks can allow pest technicians to regain control in as few as 14 days, outperforming many other anticoagulants on the market,” Mr Barnard said.
“It is an exciting time at BASF, as we continue to introduce innovative solutions designed to help make pest control easier, more efficient and more effective.”
