Businesses are being encouraged to support World Pest Day 2021, which takes place on Sunday, June 6, by engaging with customers to promote the work they do.
World Pest Day, also known as World Pest Awareness Day, is observed on June 6 every year.
The objective behind celebrating this day is to create awareness of how pest management helps preserve the quality of life for people.
The World Health Organisation (WHO), the Federation of Asian & Oceania Pest Managements Associations (FAOPMA), the National Pest Management Association in the USA (NPMA) and the Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA) have lent their support to establish an initiative to raise awareness on the role of professional pest managers in protecting food, homes, families, and the environment in which we live.
One of the main goals of World Pest Day is to gain well-deserved respect for the global pest control industry. Also, at the same time, initiate conversation and start new ways of thinking to achieve positive changes in public health.
For this year’s World Pest Day, the British Pest Control Association is handing over its social media to technicians between June 1-5.
The chosen technicians have been asked to record some short videos on their phones of them protecting public health and will be interviewed over Zoom about how essential pest professionals are.
