BASF announced on 22 December 2008 that it had concluded the acquisition of Sorex Holdings Ltd.
A short and to the point release was issued on 22 December to confirm that BASF had finalised the acquisition of Sorex as originally reported by Pest on 12 December 2008.

The release stated: “The transaction, which includes US-based Whitmire Micro-Gen and UK-based Sorex Ltd, will increase BASF’s presence in the two most important pest control markets worldwide, the United States and Europe.” Financial details have not been disclosed.
