The Nurture Group has this month acquired Rokill Pest Control Services for an undisclosed sum. The deal will see Nurture Landscapes enter a new market to support the continuation of the company’s growth post COVID-19.
Rokill Pest Control Services, founded 41 years ago by chairman Alec McQuin, is one of the largest independently owned pest control companies in the UK. Working across the Midlands and the South of England, Rokill provides commercial and domestic pest and bird control services.
The company also has key clients including Pets at Home, Clarks, New Look, Screwfix, as well as household names in the food and beverage sectors, including Ginsters, Charlie Bighams and St Austell Brewery.
Rokill will continue to trade under the Rokill brand from Ringwood, as a wholly owned trading subsidiary of Nurture Holdings.
Peter Fane, Nurture’s chief executive, said: “Rokill is a business that fits neatly into our organisation and it’s great to be able to bring it on board. Both companies have a strong ethos in health and safety, as well as an impressive commitment to preserving the environment.
“Recently, we have witnessed an upward trend in clients enquiring about pest control, and with Rokill becoming a part of the Nurture Group, we are well-placed to meet this growing demand.”
Alec McQuin, Rokill’s chairman, added: “We’re delighted to be welcomed into the Nurture Group and are excited about this new venture together. Nurture’s story of growth and ambition is one that reflects our own.
“Rokill has enjoyed a hugely successful 41 years, Chris Turner, our managing director, and I have worked together for much of that time and are looking forward to the next stage of Rokill’s growth, working alongside Nurture, bringing a quality and professional service to our clients.”
