Cheshire-based Hockley International scooped a prestigious International Trade Award at the inaugural Chemicals Northwest Awards held at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester on 14 May.
Sales Manager, Mark Murphy, commented, “We are thrilled to have won this award as it is in exporting where our focus, knowledge and experience have grown to allow our company to develop into the success it is today.
The judges said that Hockley’s superb international strategy and foreign language capabilities made it shine out amongst the competition. MD and founder, Frank Howard added: “We are extremely proud of winning this International Trade Award in such challenging times. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, it is a testament to what we have achieved.” The International Trade Award was sponsored by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the Government organisation responsible for marketing the UK overseas, promoting British exports and attracting inward investment. Hockley International, which exports pesticides for agriculture, animal health, public health and industrial use to some 90 countries worldwide, has benefitted from the support UKTI offers. Mark Murphy explains, “The UKTI provides us with a vital source of information and support when entering new markets.” |
