The British Pest Control Association has released eight free microlearning courses for members for free.
The eight, short online learning programmes cover key skills such as communication, data protection, health and safety, and management.
Karen Dawes, BPCA’s training and development manager, said: “With CPD events and training courses unable to take place during the Covid-19 lockdown, we wanted to offer as many digital CPD resources as possible.
“Along with more webinars, we’re investigating several other ways for pest management professionals to have meaningful CPD opportunities during the pandemic and beyond.”
Ms Dawes said the short courses are perfect for any pest management professional looking to broaden their continuing professional development activities.
The eight courses now available are:
- Communication and Social Skills;
- Customer Service Skills;
- Data Protection Skills;
- Health and Safety Skills;
- Literacy Skills;
- Management and Leadership Skills;
- Personal Development Skills; and
- Teamwork Skills.
Ms Dawes added: “We’re delighted to be able to offer a suite of microlearning resources to help the pest management community continue their commitment to CPD during this time. The micro-learning provides an opportunity to take a blended learning approach to expand your knowledge and skills.
“The courses utilise a range of online learning techniques including case studies, videos and presentation slides to make learning more relatable and enjoyable.
The courses are free for all BPCA members and their employees for the next three months. Non-members can take advantage of the short courses for £25 (plus VAT) each.
