The British Pest Control Association (BPCA) has released three new Codes of Best Practice, covering bed bugs, birds and reporting, which outline the responsibilities and procedures that BPCA members are expected to adhere to.
BPCA’s technical team worked on the new documents in collaboration with the Servicing Committee, producing three new Codes of Best Practice: on:
- Bed Bug Management and Control;
- Bird Management and Control; and
- Professional Reports.
Dee Ward-Thompson, BPCA’s technical manager, said: “We strive to continually improve the standards within the pest management industry through the professionalism of our members.
“We review our Codes regularly and work with the BPCA Servicing Committee, to give you clear instruction and information on what you must do, as pest professionals, to carry out your work safely and effectively, operating within the law and BPCA criteria.
“All Codes of Best Practice have recently been reviewed, updated and given a facelift, so if you haven’t had a re-read of the Code recently, we recommend you take a look.”
