The National Pest Technicians Association has announced that PestTech, which was due to take place at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes on November 11, has been postponed for 12 months.
In a statement, posted on the NPTA’s website, Steve Hallam, the association’s chief operating officer, said: “As we’re sure you’re already aware, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has meant that following Government guidelines it’s now vital to limit social contact and avoid large gatherings.
“For this reason, we’ve made the very difficult decision to postpone PestTech 2020 on November 11, focusing on alternative support measures for members.”
Mr Hallam said that PestTech will return in November 21 at Stadium MK.
Mr Hallam added: “While we know this is disappointing, we hope you can understand the steps we’re taking to help keep all attendees, exhibitors and staff as safe as possible by postponing PestTech.
“We’ll be constantly monitoring the Government sites, Public Health England and the World Health Organisation advice lines to look at alternative opportunities for the industry to get together before the end of the year safely.”
Mr Hallam thanked the industry for its continued support of PestTech, and for your understanding during these unprecedented times.
