Wednesday 16 October 2019 is the revised deadline for submitting offers of both presented papers and posters for the next International Conference on Urban Pests (ICUP) to be held in Barcelona, Spain in 2020.
Chairman of the ICUP organising committee, Dr Rubá©n Bueno explained: “Plenty of ideas have already been sent in for consideration as papers or posters, however, with the original deadline being so close to the main holiday period, we have decided to provide extra time for ideas to be submitted.
“The new deadline is Wednesday 16 October. All abstracts need to be submitted via the ICUP website at www.icup2000.com where clear instructions are given.
Authors of those offers that are accepted will be notified in November,” Rubá©n explained.

The organisers are looking for offers covering the following sessions:

Mosquitoes;
Medical entomology including ticks and fleas;
Xylopagous insects, particularly termites and wood boring beetles;
Flying insects including wasps;

Birds;
Chemical and non-chemical control;
Complementary technology including GIS, monitoring tools and citizen science.
ICUP 2020 is the 10th in this highly popular series of non-profit events.
The aim is to offer a diverse programme that combines both classical urban pest topics with new ideas and projects.
The event provides a stimulating scientific and technical forum on urban pest management. The programme, both the technical and the more informal sessions, plans to offer the scientists and pest control professionals that come to Barcelona to share their work and meet friends and colleagues.
