Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the British Pest Control Association said it had to cancel the 2020 annual general meeting (AGM) that had been scheduled for April 2.
After seeking legal advice, the BPCA has confirmed it will be holding an all-digital, online AGM where eligible members will be able to vote and have their say on the future of the association.
The virtual AGM will take place on August 27.
Ian Andrew, chief executive of the BPCA, said: “We”d already been researching hybrid AGM (where you mix a live event with a virtual event), so more members could get more involved in the decision making of the association.
“While a digital-only event isn’t what we had planned, I suspect that we’ll still manage to engage more voting members than our usual 30-minute slot before a BPCA Forum.”
