We are delighted to announce that the relaunched National Pest Awards are now open for entries.
The National Pest Awards are set to become a centrepiece of the pest industry calendar, recognising those who have excelled in pest control across the UK.
This year’s National Pest Awards – which are run in association with the British Pest Control Association, the National Pest Technicians Association and BASIS PROMPT – will culminate in a gala awards ceremony and dinner at the Houses of Parliament on Thursday, June 17, one of the most recognised buildings in the world and the seat of power and democracy in the UK.
Finalists will receive a pair of tickets to attend the ceremony and in doing so will be able to step foot into the iconic Houses of Parliament, for what will be a memorable evening. The event will provide a unique opportunity for the whole industry to come together and celebrate the achievements of their colleagues and peers.
The event will feature a gala dinner with a full three-course gourmet dinner, with complimentary pre-dinner drinks and table wine. There will also be a celebrity host and after-dinner entertainment.
The awards are free to enter and there are 10 categories.
The main award, Pest Business of the Year, is sponsored by principal sponsor Syngenta Professional Pest Management. The winner of this category will be chosen from the winners of the Large Company, Small Company, Local Authority and Sole Trader of the Year.
Of course, we are launching the awards at an unprecedented time of uncertainty.
As a result, everything we do around both judging and the awards night will be shaped by the best guidance from Government.

Bell Labs is sponsoring the Large Company of the Year category, and Michael Sims, the company’s regional manager for the UK, Ireland and sub-Saharan Africa, said he is delighted to be involved in supporting the awards.
He said: “Given the circumstances we have been faced with this year, we believe the National Pest Awards will be a great event, which will benefit the industry and highlight what a great job pest control companies have been doing throughout a very abnormal year.”
Killgerm is sponsoring the Small Company of the Year category, and Sabra Everett, the company’s group marketing and public affairs director, said: “The National Pest Awards are an excellent way of recognising the fantastic work carried out to enhance public health.”
Barrettine is sponsoring the Innovation of the Year category.

Lodi UK is sponsor of the Pest Controller of the Year award and business development manager Tony Knight said Lodi has witnessed, first-hand, the hard work and determination that all pest control companies have shown this year.

The Young Pest Controller of the Year category is being sponsored by Bayer Environmental Science.
