Congratulations to AgriSense. In this years Queen Awards, announced on 21 April (to coincide with The Queen”s personal birthday) AgriSense-BCS Ltd has been awarded the prestigious Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade 2009.
This is in fact the third time AgriSense has won this award. No mean achievement as only 135 companies have been honoured with this award this year.
Based in South Wales, AgriSense is a major developer and manufacturer of insect pest monitoring and control systems and devices that use pheromones or other attractants. Since the acquisition in 2006 by the US company, Suterra, AgriSense has shared responsibility for global expansion with its parent company, with exports now representing over 90% of AgriSense sales. Summing up this achievement, Dr Owen Jones, general manager at AgriSense said: “Everyone is very proud at receiving the Queens Award. It is internationally acclaimed and is recognition of the exceptional growth the company has achieved over the last three years. In what is our 25th anniversary year it is especially gratifying that we should be able to celebrate with an award that is tangible evidence of the great work done by everyone.”
