Elliot Lowe, who runs Cavalry Pest Solutions in Wigan, Lancashire, has been named the Killgerm Apprentice 2012 winning a prize package of equipment and training worth £3,000.
Elliot, who says he wanted to be in pest control since he was in junior school, set up his business earlier this year. He is now providing domestic, commercial and rural pest control services in and around Wigan, Leigh, Skelmersdale, Ormskirk, St.Helens, Warrington, Preston and Bolton.
As a RSPH/BPCA qualified technician and a member of the BASIS PROMPT professional pest control register he is a strong supporter of the need for professionalism in pest control. “The industry is going through some huge changes and needs to show its professionalism and commitment to high standards more than ever,” he says. “The PROMPT register is something that I strongly support as it helps me do just that.”
Killgerm runs the apprentice scheme as a ‘Working Together Initiative’, aimed at supporting pest controllers in setting up their businesses and those who are looking to grow their businesses. When informed that he had won Elliot said: “To be honest, I feel quite privileged. Winning this nomination is a massive boost. It couldn”t have arrived at a better time. Having the support of such a big name within the pest control industry brings obvious benefits to a small business like Cavalry Pest Solutions and in turn it will enable me to provide even higher levels of service for my customers.”! |
