The National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA) has announced the appointment of Kevin Lawrenson as its new chief executive.

With 18 years of experience in the pest control industry, Mr Lawrenson brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the organisation, marking an exciting new chapter for the NPTA and its members.

His career in pest control began in 2006 as a sales surveyor at Rentokil. Over the years, he has held a variety of senior leadership roles, including heading the Prokill Franchise Network and playing a crucial role in the CMA process following Rentokil’s acquisition of Mitie Pest Control.

He later oversaw the transition of the business into Terminix UK and Vergo, building a well-rounded perspective on both operational and strategic aspects of the industry.

As the new chief executive, Mr Lawrenson is committed to driving the NPTA forward with a vision to raise the profile of the pest control industry and ensure that technicians receive the recognition they deserve.

He is focused on providing NPTA members with the resources, training, and support they need to uphold the highest standards of practice and thrive in a competitive landscape.

“We are excited to welcome Kevin Lawrenson as our new chief executive,” said Steve Hallam, the association’s chief operating officer.

“His extensive experience and leadership in the pest control industry, combined with his passion for raising industry standards, make him the ideal choice to lead the NPTA into this next phase of growth and development. We look forward to working together to support our members and strengthen the voice of pest technicians across the UK.”
